At Rayleigh Primary, we aspire for all children to thrive and live happy and fulfilling lives to help them achieve their future personal goals. Our PSHE curriculum is a vital part of achieving this aim within an evolving global community and in a period of continual change. It aims to support all children in their spiritual, moral, social, cultural, mental and physical state.

The curriculum ensures all pupils have the language skills, knowledge, understanding and confidence to express themselves at school and within the community; these tools will support them in facing and overcoming challenges and changes they will face in adult life. As a school we model and apply British values, challenge stereotypes and demonstrate inclusivity. 

Our curriculum is high quality, evidence based, progressive and age-appropriate to ensure that pupils are prepared for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities they will encounter later in their lives.
