Rayleigh Primary School's Nursery is flourishing and successful. We pride ourselves on working as a team to design a curriculum that enables all children to explore, create and develop their knowledge and understanding in an exciting and supportive environment. We have two classes, Butterflies for our 2+ and Dragonflies for our 3+.

Our Nursery is led by a qualified Primary Teacher and makes up part of our outstanding provision.

Morning Sessions 8:30 - 11:30am

Afternoon Sessions 12:30 - 3:30pm

Lunch Club - 11:30 - 12:30pm

At Rayleigh Primary School Nursery, we believe children thrive on consistency and routine. For this reason, we encourage families to choose either five morning sessions or five afternoon sessions each week (or both). Attending the same session pattern daily helps children settle more confidently, build secure relationships with staff, and fully engage in our planned learning experiences. While parents may select alternative combinations during the 2026/2027 year, from September 2027 we will move towards this preferred structure to support continuity, wellbeing and smooth transitions for all children. Our FEEE policy outlines how funding can be utilised.
