An International School

Rayleigh Primary School believes that our children need to be prepared for an ever changing world. Children will need to communicate across different languages, understand political, national and religious differences in order to solve problems. For example, narrowing the world poverty gap or overcoming the resistance to sustainability in food and energy. Our children need to be prepared to meet the challenges of working across nations as the problems they face will be global rather than national. The International School Award has guided our work in developing these skills and knowledge for the future.

Meet The Ancestors

This is the last project we finished which teaches children that we have more in common than they realise. It starts by looking at family histories and then compares this through DNA testing to genetic history. It encourages children to believe we are all 'Citizens of the World'.

New Ways - New Skills.

This project will run until 2022 and teaches children how they learn. It encourages children to see that their learning is in their own hands and that they will constantly learn new skills for a world of work we cannot imagine.

STEM For Life

This project teaches children about how our planet is changing and highlights how we will all need to work towards a more sustainable future. It uses science and technology to help them overcome problems.
