| Rayleigh Primary School PTA
Welcome to your PTA
The Association aims to raise funds for "extras" not provided by LEA funds. In so doing, we run
social events throughput the year, involving parents, staff and children. Many of these events such
as the Christmas bazaar and summer fete have become regulars in the school calendar, and help maintain our school's wonderful community atmosphere.
Every parent/carer is automatically a member of the Association. We are a registered charity,
which gives us access to Gift Aid and Charity fund matching schemes. We are also members of
the NCPTA, a national organisation supporting PTA's.
In recent years we have funded major projects around the school including replacement water fountains, reception playground equipment and the pergola and block paving leading to the
garden area. We have purchased smaller items eg. cooker for the nursery, playground games for lunchtimes. Other annual commitments are refreshments at both the pantomime and sports days
and Year 6 leavers Recollection books.

How can you get involved?
There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through the PTA.
Offering to help at events is so valuable, "many hands make light work". It doesn't matter if you
can't help on a regular basis, there are always little jobs that can be done from home eg. wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc. We really couldn't do without the unseen army of helpers.
Maybe you have contacts or skills we could use; let us know. Perhaps you'd like to help run an event. If your employer has a Funds Matching scheme we'd love to hear from you!
You can of course come along to regular PTA meetings, usually held on the last Friday of the month, which are open to everybody.
You can attend the AGM and give us your ideas for fundraising events - this is also the time to ask questions or voice your opinion.
