In year 6 the children are expected to become leaders of the school and set an example to the younger pupils regarding behaviour, work ethic and appearance. They may also choose to take on the role of prefect.
To progress well in year 6, the children need to develop their thinking skills and research skills. They should begin to enjoy learning for its own sake and answer questions that they have begun to generate themselves. Senior school demands an independence and responsibility for their own things. In year 6 they need to begin organising themselves on a daily basis.
