Mrs C Scott - Home | Curriculum | Homework | Trips | Children

In Year 3 the children are expected to practice their reading skills daily, discussion of the story, plots and characters being as important as listening to them read.

Chilidren will be given a piece of Mathematics homework on a Friday to be returned on the next Monday. This work will be connected with the topics learned that week and help to consolidate their learning.

All the children have a "Passport to Success" in which they have spellings and times table cards. We expect the children to practise these at home. They will be assessed on a regular basis and when they can consistently and accurately use these facts in their work they will be moved on.

The children will be given three pieces of research homework during the year for completion during the week before and the week after the half terms.

Autumn half term  -  Rayleigh brochure

Spring half term  - The Vikings

Summer half term  -  biography of a famous Victorian
