| Robin Hood Day
Our Robin Hood day was a great success. We were encouraged to dress up as characters from the tales of Robin Hood. This year Mr E was also dressed up. We are writing stories in a historical setting so we got to look at some artefacts from the period and ask questions about life in the Middle ages. We played games amongst the trees, we shot arrows, we had sword fights and we got to sneak up on the unsuspecting Sheriff of Nottingham. We then went and wrote about it in a story using the language that we had used when playing the games. Some of us got to make a short film which we could then base our stories on (look at the Year Four Film Pages )Here are some pictures taken on the day...

We had a great day! We hope you like our pictures. We still have a lot of work to do as now we have to write stories about Robin Hood using our experience from today to help us.
Make sure you look at our Videos from the day too. They are on our Film Making page
