| Governors
The Governing Body are the strategic decision making body of the school. Their role is to steer the school forwards in partnership with the employees of the school and the local community. In becoming a member of the school Governing Body everyone gives up a great deal of time to keep our school focused on the future, maximising potential and ensuring we never fall behind current developments. This is achived through the committee structure.
The Committee Structure.
The Governing Body delegates its work into committees. These are currently, Finance / Premises, Personnel and Curriculum. Those with expertise to bring to the Governing Body in any of these areas are always welcome to apply to become a Governor.
To Current and Future Parents of Children attending Rayleigh Primary School.
The Primary School of Rayleigh has a rich and interesting history which has spanned well over a century. Whilst the external view of the fabric of the building reflects this fact and hence may not appear the most modern in the world, the internal facilities available to the children are extremely modern and truly meet the educational needs of today.
After achieving an outstanding Ofsted report at the end of 2005, the teaching staff set themselves even higher standards of performance in order to ensure all the children were able to maximise their potential. This shows the absolute dedication given by all the staff to the pursuit of excellence and follows the doctrine that every child matters. There is no greater a time for a child to develop than whilst at Primary School and we intend to see that no opportunity is missed by and for them
As the Governing Body we are proud of the achievements of the school over recent years but at the same time there is no room for complacency in an educational world that is ever evolving. As Parents, you can be reassured that the Governors will give the school maximum support in its drive for excellence, be it physical, financial or pastoral.
