Gardening Club

The Gardening club meets on Thursday after school until 4.15pm. If the weather is fine, we go down to the garden to see

what needs to be done. There is usually some weeding, cutting back, hoeing and general tidying up. In the Spring we shall

begin to plant seeds and other plants. We always put food on the bird table.

We are going to take part in potato challenge run by Rayleigh Horticultural Society and later, the sunflower head challenge.

If the weather is very wet, we work on a gardening related activity in the classroom. One one of these days, we researched photographs of scarecrows using the internet. We then went home and worked on our own scarecrow designs. Below is the

painting that Millie did of her scarecrow. We are going to bring in some old clothes and soon will make one of our own.

Remember to bring wellies along during the winter months as it is very muddy in the garden.

See Mrs. Slack,Mrs Gilbert, or Mrs.Waller if you need any further information.
